Weekly Review: Another Week
Since it's becoming closer to the end of the semester, a lot of the work has been piling on. I've also been working a lot still and it's quite difficult to manage. I try to get the most I can done but it is definitely a challenge. The weeks are only getting tougher and having to do more work but I am happy to say that the past 2 exams I took in my other classes I passed. In my political science class, I got a 90% and in my drama class, I got a 99% on the exam and to be honest I was so worried I wasn't going to pass. I studied like crazy though so that helped out a lot. But in this class, my favorite reading this week was the extra credit reading, The Tattooer. It was different and I really like tattoos so it was attention grabbing. Although I don't have any tattoos myself, this story defines the agony and pain of getting a tattoo and it just made you want to clench your teeth with how detailed and descriptive the story was. Overall, I enjoyed that story and I've been noticing I have more fun reading the extra credit readings rather than the actual reading assignments. I don't know why, but for some reason the EC readings are more appealing to me. Hopefully week 13 has some interesting readings and they're not too long. When the stories are 15+ pages, I feel like I lose focus on what I'm reading so I have to keep rereading some parts over and over because I just can't stay focus. I hope week 13 goes good!
Hi Alissa,
ReplyDeleteOnly 5 more weeks to go! I can relate to all the work piling on, I feel like its time for exams, and term papers are due too, it adds up very quickly. I too enjoyed The Tattooer, I think it may be my favorite reading in the class so far! By the way, congratulations on your A’s in your other classes. I'm so thankful we don’t have exams in this class. Good luck, we’re almost there!
